Trent & Dove

Mould Eradication Works – 6,500 Properties – Staffordshire/Derbyshire/Leicestershire

2022 – 2024

QST were appointed in 2022 to carry out mould eradication works for Trent & Dove in their occupied and unoccupied properties. With specialised teams in the area, we successfully completed a wide range of mould eradication works, including:

• Mould treatment and eradication
• Biocidal fogging
• Minor works
• Thermal insulation/loft surveying
• Sempatap/Wallrock
• Remediation/plastering

We adhere to strict service level agreements, aiming to survey within 7 days and complete remediation within 15 days.

Our services extend across Trent & Dove’s primary social housing properties in Staffordshire, Derbyshire, and Leicestershire. As our partnership with Trent & Dove has evolved, they have entrusted us with additional work, such as plastering, due to our shorter lead times compared to main contractors, providing significant benefits to the client.

Platform Housing

Housing Mould Remediation – Midlands

2023 – 2025

QST were appoitned by Platform Housing to carry out mould remediation work on their various residential properties from Lincolnshire to Worcestershire.

Scope of works included:

• Mould Remediation
• Biocidal Fogging
• Sempatap/Wallrock
• Loft Surveying & Remediation

Because the properties are spread over a large geographical area, we had to create a comprehensive work program that aligned with both our capabilities and the client’s objectives for their customers. This required additional investment in resources specifically for this contract from QST’s perspective. We provided a dedicated inspector and team leader for the client, as well as the necessary internal and external operative resources to meet the client’s demands and timelines.

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council

Residential Mould Eradication Programme

2022 – 2024

QST were appointed by Rotherham MBC to carry out mould eradication work in their housing stock. The scope of work included mould eradication, bio-cidal fogging, Wallrock & Sempatap installation, and plastering.

QST has established a strong working relationship with Rotherham, built on a shared commitment to collaborate closely to enhance the lives of Rotherham MBC customers. As part of this collaboration, we conducted “heat map” reports for Rotherham, providing them with valuable information on the housing stock that was particularly susceptible to damp and mould issues.

Subsequently, both parties established a working group to analyse the data and developed a program of work to address properties in the “red flag” areas. We meet with Rotherham on a weekly basis to exchange best practices, assess performance, and work together to improve processes, ultimately leading to better outcomes.

Bolton at Home

Mould Eradication Works

QST were appointed to provide services to Bolton at Home for their occupied and void properties. We have two teams dedicated to this project in the borough and have completed a range of mould eradication works, including immediate emergency work requirements and specific solicitor or legal involvement. Our core services include mould eradication, biocidal fogging, minor works, and internal insulation in both occupied and void properties across Bolton council area.

After completing works in each property, we bio-fog the properties to make them pathogen-free before leaving the site. Additionally, we support the client by bio-fogging their vehicles to keep the housing association operational.
